World’s First Powerful UVB LED Targeted Phototherapy Device

VitiClear® is the world’s state-of-the-art solid-state narrowband UVB LED phototherapy system with higher safety, higher output intensity and larger spot size for treating a variety of complex skin conditions such as vitiligo, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and pityriasis rosea etc.

Much like the development that we see in white LEDs in the field of lighting, Ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UV-LEDs) are therefore expected to replace conventional UV sources, such as UV lamp, excimer laser or excimer lamp, and NB-UVB LED phototherapy will become a mainstay treatment of the future in dermatology.

Vitiligo is a relatively common depigmentation disorder that negatively impacts approximately 1% of the world population or 70 million people. This disorder affects demographics of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and of these affected patients 20-35% are adolescents.

Psoriasis is a common skin condition that speeds up the life cycle of skin cells and is an immune-mediated genetically determined common dermatological disorder which affects skin, nails, joints and has various systemic associations. The prevalence of psoriasis by country varies between 0.09% and 11.4% of the population. It is a serious global problem affecting approximately 2%~3% of the world population or 140 ~ 210 million people worldwide across all age groups.

Atopic dermatitis (AD), also known as eczema, is a common, chronically relapsing inflammatory skin disease that affects up to 2.4% of the population worldwide or 168 million people worldwide. Although AD may sometimes be perceived as relatively benign, children with AD present with decreased quality of life, similar to other serious chronic disorders, such as cystic fibrosis and renal disease. AD can have serious detrimental effects on patients and families, impacting the social, academic, occupational, and financial aspects of their lives.

Pityriasis rosea (PR) is a common acute, self-limited papulosquamous dermatosis that primarily affects children and young adults. The condition and its clinical variants may pose a diagnostic challenge, especially in the absence of the herald patch. The approximate incidence of PR is 0.5% to 2%, affecting approximately 140 million people worldwide.
